Crispy Onion Rings

Oven-baked onion rings that are crispy and full of flavor, these are the perfect snacks for any occasion!

Ingredients

3 medium onions (white or yellow)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup rice milk
1 tsp paprika
3/4 tsp salt
1 cup vegan bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Slice the ends off of each onion and peel off the outer layer (you can discard this). Slice the onions into rings about half an inch thick, each comprised of 2 layers.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the flour, rice milk, 1/2 tsp of the paprika, and 1/2 tsp of the salt. 
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the bread crumbs as well as the rest of the paprika and salt.  Once mixed together, divide the bread crumbs into 2 separate bowls to prevent the mixture from sticking.
  5. Dip each onion ring into the wet mixture, coat evenly with the dry mixture, and place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, remove from the oven, and serve warm.  Enjoy!
