A thin, crispy crust, with a savory sauce and creamy cheese, this pizza recipe is the  best one out there!

Makes 2 medium sized pizzas

Crust

Ingredients

2 and 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 and 1/4 cups warm water
​3  cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon salt

Directions

  1. In  large mixing bowl, whisk together the yeast and the water.  Allow to rest for 15 minutes in a warm spot.
  2. Mixing on low*, mix in 2 cups of the flour.  Add the olive oil and salt as you continue to mix.
  3. Add the remaining flour, 1/2 a cup at a time till, until all of it is incorporated into the dough.
  4. Using your hands, knead the dough into a large ball. Divide the dough in two, form into the desired shape and place on a large cookie sheet.  

*You can mix by hand as well.

Sauce

Ingredients

15 ounces canned tomato sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
5 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon onion powder

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.   Add in the minced garlic and the salt, stirring until fragrant.​
  2. Mix in the tomato sauce and the spices and cook until the sauce starts to bubble slightly.  Remove from heat.​

Pizza

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  2. Spread as much sauce as you want over the  stretched out pizza dough.  
  3. Sprinkle with Violife mozzarella shreds or any of your favorite vegan pizza toppings. 
  4. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes.  Slice, serve and enjoy!

We made 3 small pizzas the other night and they all came out creamy and delicious; we will definitely be making them again!
