Deep Dish Brownies

Rich, moist and chocolatey, these deep dish brownies are a must for concluding any perfect dinner!

Ingredients

1 cup cane sugar
2 tbsp. ground flaxseed
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
6 tbsp. coconut oil, melted
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
7 tbsp. cocoa powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease 4 large ramekins with some extra coconut oil.  Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the sugar, ground flax seed, water, vanilla and coconut oil.  On low to medium speed, beat with a hand-mixer until smooth.
  3. Mixing on low, add the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt.  Continue mixing until there are no streaks of flour left in the batter.  While continuing to mix, slowly pour in the chocolate chips and beat until they are completely mixed into the batter.
  4. Pour an equal amount of the batter into each of the ramekins, being careful not to fill them to the top.
  5. Place in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.  Remove from the oven and wait a few minutes for the brownies to cool.  Serve as is or with your favorite vegan toppings!  Bon appetite!
