Powdered Sugar Donuts

A soft, moist donut with just a little bit of cinnamon, dusted with powdered sugar, these sweet treats are great for breakfast, dessert, and munching on throughout the day!

Ingredients

Donuts:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cane sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cinnamon 
3/4 cup + 2 tbsp. oat milk
1 1/2 tbsp. applesauce
1 1/2 tbsp. melted butter-flavored coconut oil
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Topping:
1/4 cup powdered sugar (feel free to use more!)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. To make the donuts, mix together all of the dry ingredients.
  3. Pour in the wet ingredients and mix, being careful not to overmix.  
  4. Spoon the batter into greased cupcake pans, filling each about 3/4 full.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.  
  6. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, remove from the pan, and allow to cool thoroughly. 
  7. Roll the donuts in the powdered sugar until coated with as much sugar as you'd like!
  8. Serve and enjoy!
