Rich and creamy this mac and cheese recipe is a win with everyone in my family, even my picky little sister! Mac and cheese is such a great dish, nearly everyone loves it! This one is easy to make, creamy, cheesy, and completely cruelty-free! What's not to love? And to give it some extra flavor and make it a little healthier, you can also add some broccoli too! I've made this recipe so many times, so it's no surprise that I have a few variations. Each one has been a hit, but they're still a little different and great in their own way! One of these variations is making it extra creamy! To do this, simply follow the recipe below, but first heat a tablespoon of vegan butter over low heat until melted. Then add 2 tbsp. of all-purpose flour and stir for about 30 seconds (make sure it's smooth) before continuing the rest of the recipe as is! RecipeIngredients1 pound pasta noodles, cooked to your liking 1 cup non-dairy milk* 8oz bag vegan cheddar shreds** 1/4 cup nutritional yeast 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp black pepper flakes 2 tbsp. The New Primal Medium Buffalo & Wings Sauce (optional) Directions
Notes*I typically use oat milk but any plant-based milk should work. Also, oat milk can be a little sweet, so I usually add a teaspoon of salt to cancel this out. **Violife and Daiya are both great options and my personal go-to choice. I feel that Daiya has a richer cheese flavor but Violife is creamier. Another thing to note is that bags of Daiya cheese are a little smaller than 8oz, but don't worry, a single bag works well with this! Recommended for You

Do you have any suggestions for a cheese substitute if violife isn't readily available in my area?
