This year was my second Easter as a vegan, and it was absolutely amazing! There were festive Spring decorations, tasty treats, and the Easter bunny left my sister and I a bunch of candy, including chocolates! Here is how my Mami planned the party, as well as a list of all of the tasty vegan Easter treats! Easter CelebrationThe centerpiece of this party was the carrot cake, which was bursting with flavor! There was a variety of spices and a sweet cream cheese frosting to go with the moist cake. My favorite part of the party were the cute little chicks! Just look at how adorable they are! They're small, fluffy, they sing, and I love how they all seem to have their own unique personalities! Another treat that my Mami made were bunny-shaped sugar cookies with purple icing! They were lemon flavored, super soft, and perfectly sweet! Not everything was homemade though. There were vegan gummy bears from Wholefoods, some Delishfish, and Yum Earth lollipops (we don't have any pictures of them; they were eaten too quickly!). The place mats were simple and beautiful; a nice white plate on a light blue and white checkered table cloth, topped with a matching napkin, and to the side, a nice glass. Those cute little chickens were placed all over the tablecloth as well! Gifts From the Easter BunnyThe Easter bunny left my sister and I several gifts. Most of them were sweets, but he also left us each a chicken plush which we love! Mine is golden so I named him "Nugget" (as in a gold nugget) and my sister's was brown, so she named hers "Coco". Of course, there were a bunch of treats, and they were AMAZING!!! The "Unreal" chocolates that we got are like a vegan version of "Mounds". A soft and sweet coconut filling covered with a layer of dark chocolate, this candy is perfect for coconut lovers! Some of "Annie's" chewy snacks are vegan, and they are great! Sweet and flavorful, these gummies are tasty treats that are great for munching on! I've never been a fan of jelly beans, but my sister really likes these and I myself like the red ones! They're both sweet and sour! My all-time favorite candy are these "Cocomels"! They're sweet, creamy, and delicious coconut based caramels that taste a lot like "Werther's Caramels" but are a thousand times better since they're cruelty-free! Another great treat that you can enjoy are chocolates from "Endangered Species". Not all of their chocolates are vegan, but the "Forest Mint + Dark Chocolate" and "Almonds Sea Salt + Dark Chocolate" candy bars are two of their options that are. I really like the mint chocolate, and my family loves the almond one! Also, 10% of the company's profits go towards saving animals and the environment, so it's a win-win! Although I haven't found any small vegan chocolate eggs yet, the Easter bunny left my family two of these BIG chocolate eggs this year. They taste a lot like the traditional dairy chocolate, so much that I had to check the box multiple times to confirm that it was vegan! Like with the big chocolate egg, this milkless Easter bunny tastes just like the traditional chocolate bunnies! It's amazing! We'd love to hear about your vegan Easter and see your pictures of Vegan Empire's Easter Celebration, so make sure to share them with us on our Facebook page or here on Pinterest!
