The perfect topping for your homemade pupusas, this recipe for salsa roja is quick and easy to make!

Recipe

28oz can whole peeled tomatoes
1 onion
1 tsp. salt
3 cloves garlic
2 tsp. vegetable bouillon paste
1 tsp. vegetable oil

Add tomato, onion, salt and garlic to a food processor or blender and puree.
Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat and add in the salsa. Stir in the vegetable bouillon.
Bring the sauce to a low simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Allow to cool completely and serve!
