The leaves are changing color, the days are getting cooler, and the holiday season is fast approaching. Fall is officially here! And nothing says autumn more than a sweet-smelling kitchen full of delicious treats to help celebrate this festive time of the year! Here are some of the best classic fall treats to pair up with your festivities and get you into the holiday spirit! Apple CobblerBaked goods featuring apples are arguably some of the best fall treats around. Especially since apple picking is such a popular activity to do around this season! There's nothing quite like picking your own apples and then baking them into an amazing dessert such as this one! This apple cobbler is a great choice since it tastes great and is easy to make! The apples are super flavorful and coated with fall spices! And the top layer is just perfect in every way! Soft and fluffy with a slightly crispy top that's bursting in delicious cinnamon flavor! My family and I have already had this sweet treat a few times this year, and I can't wait to have it again! Apple DumplingsJust as amazing in its own way is this apple dumpling recipe! Like the apple cobbler, the apples are bursting with fall flavor! This time, though, they're wrapped in a delicious and "buttery" dough and topped with a sweet warm syrup! I'd happily eat it just as it is, but it's even better when topped with a scoop of dairy-free vanilla nice cream! May I recommend Oatly?! Apple Pie Bread PuddingLast but not least on my current collection of apple treats is this apple pie bread pudding recipe! Cubes of perfectly spiced apples mixed up with a flavorful bread pudding, it's a very easy treat to make! But don't let that fool you; all of the flavor is still there! And when it's topped with some vegan whipped cream, it's absolutely amazing! Pecan PieThat may be it for the apple recipes, but there's still a lot more fall flavors to explore! Take this pecan pie for example! A "buttery," flakey crust with a sweet ooey gooey filling and topped with a layer of crunchy pecans, it's one of the greatest classics out there! It's honestly so good that I could (and would) eat the entire thing by myself! Snickerdoodle CupcakesThough these may not be considered a "classic," they're still a great choice of treat for the holiday season! These snickerdoodle cupcakes are a twist on the traditional cookie (below) featuring a fluffy cupcake and a sweet frosting! The cupcake in itself has just the right amount of cinnamon and it pairs perfectly with the frosting, adding a little more sweetness and a lot more flavor! Especially with the dusting of cinnamon on top! Chewy Chocolate Chip CookiesChocolate chip cookies are a must for any holiday party! They're a classic treat and one of the best Christmas cookies, and for good reason! These, in particular, are soft, chewy, and absolutely delicious! Great for the holiday season, or any time of the year! Snickerdoodle CookiesAnd don't worry; I haven't forgotten the original snickerdoodle cookie either! Spinoffs and other versions are great and everything, but sometimes you just want the real deal! So, here's a soft tasty cookie that's been rolled around in the flavors of autumn! Coated with cinnamon and sugar, it's one of the best holiday treats around! It's an excellent addition for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and everyday leading up to it! Gingerbread CookiesGingerbread cookies are probably one the most well-known Christmas cookie of them all! They have this iconic flavor and are fun to decorate, so this is for good reason! Making gingerbread men isn't just about baking, but also about decorating, so it's a tasty treat and a fun activity all in one! Sugar CookiesThough gingerbread men are great to decorate, sugar cookies are perhaps better in that area! They can be cut into all sorts of shapes like Christmas trees, snowflakes, candy canes, and so much more! Plus, the icing can be made into basically any color, so the decorating possibilities are truly endless! Plus, the cookie in itself is great too! Tasty, soft, and buttery, with a little extra sweetness from the icing! Cinnamon RollsApples and cinnamon are both some of the best flavors of fall, and they pair greatly together! However, sometimes the cinnamon needs its own time to shine, and it does so in this delicious cinnamon roll recipe! It's an excellent choice for dessert or breakfast, with a buttery, flakey dough, and a sweet, caramelized filling! What's not to love?! Powdered Sugar DonutsNot only do these donuts have a slight apple and cinnamon flavor, but they're also coated with a dusting of powdered sugar reminiscent of a fresh snowfall! I know that they're not quite a classic fall or winter treat, but they're definitely a good choice for baking around the holidays! The powdered sugar donuts are easy to make and absolutely delicious! Maple Dip DonutsPerhaps an underappreciated fall flavor is maple syrup! It's not just one of the best toppings for waffles and pancakes, but it's an amazing flavor of its own and the star of maple dip donuts! What says winter more than some sweet maple syrup? Especially in such excellent baked goods such as these donuts! Pumpkin BreadLast but not least, pumpkin bread! Personally, I'm not a big fan of pumpkin pie, but this bread is something that I love! Made as a loaf and served as slices alongside some vanilla nice cream, or made into individually sized muffins, it's an overall amazing dessert that I highly recommend! So, what are you excited about baking this holiday season? Any recipes that stood out to you? Whichever dessert that you choose to try, I'm sure that you'll love it as much as I do! Happy baking!
